Windshield Wiper

The client for this project is Etricity, www.etricity.nl. Etricity has designed a 3-wheel electric vehicle meant for everyday transportation as well as for fun. It is called the Etrike. The target group consists of people who want to drive an environmentally friendly vehicle as well as people who are motorcycle riders looking for a vehicle that gives the sensation of riding a motorcycle but has the advantages of a car.

Due to the unique shape of the vehicle, windshield wipers cannot be applied in their current standard form. There is limited space to house the motor of the windshield wipers.
The direct assignment of the client is to design a wiper mechanism. The wiper blade & motor are already existing parts which should not be our main point of attention. The mechanism for the wiper(s), the location of the wiper(s), the orientation of the wiper(s) and the location of the motor of the wiper(s) are what we need to consider.
